Sushi Train @ Cairns Central

Has anyone else noticed that the plates at Sushi Train are getting smaller and smaller as the prices are getting bigger and bigger?  I mean this isn’t really something new but come on it’s getting beyond a joke now.  It hardly seems worth going there anymore…   Except for the fact that their sushi is so damn delicious (Salmon Ikura Ship come at me!).  No, but seriously Sushi Train, could you please go back to making sushi that’s actually more than half a mouthful?  Yours Sincerely, foodvixen x

  1. If that is fish roe on top, then that plate is the size of my grand daughters play tea set!

  2. Yes I agree, I take my three teenage grand daughters to sushi train after introducing them to this wonderful healthy eating.
Now I can’t afford to have this pleasure with them as the proportion size has dwindled and find it hard to justify the price rise and small serves.

  3. I agree about Sushi Train, it is now too expensive to go for lunch. I have found another Sushi Place in the CBD called Paradise Sushi. It is on Grafton St, located opposite the Cairns Five Cinemas (This is the best point of reference I can give, but it is slightly south of it). Their Sushi is the Bomb! The prices are great too – most of their Sushi is around the $3 mark. Highly recommend them.
