4 Cheese Pizza @ Bel Paese, Cairns
Got to fulfill my wish of having the Award-Winning Four Cheese Pizza (Ricotta, Mozzarella, Parmesan and Blue) at Bel Paese last week and I have to say it was amazing! Not to mention their yummy Puttanesca and the Fettucine Casa Nostra that MS ordered. The only thing that could make this pizza better would be five cheeses! So gooooood!

Have to disagree there about the 4 cheese pizza……we were totally disappointed with the flavours and textures. The cold ricotta was off putting and although we both love blue cheese the balance on the pizza seemed overwhelming……
Maybe we have just been spoilt by the fantastic pizza and calzone that we used to get from the little pizzeria that was around the corner from our apartment in Venice. I so miss good pizza!!!
I’m gonna have to agree with you now too Pickypoot. The cold ricotta is really just not a nice touch to the pizza at all. I had Four Cheese Gnocchi there recently and that too had the cold ricotta on top, not to mention MS found a staple in his spaghetti
Don’t think we will be going back to Bel Paese for quite a while. But the pizza that you had in Venice sounds amazing! You would never be able to settle for western pizza after that kind of experience 🙂
