Where is the Best Eggs Benedict in Cairns now?
It has been brought to my attention that the Botanical Gardens Restaurant and Cafe no longer serves the Best Eggs Benedict in town. I have read a few really bad reviews on the place and how downhill it’s gone. What the hell happened?! I would hate to think that my previous post “Best Eggs Benedict in Cairns” is directly people to a now defunct Eggs Benedict so I am putting a call out to find the new “Best Eggs Benedict in Cairns” . Any ideas?

You mean the Jam Drop Cafe? 😉 I have heard that they also have the best Caesar Salads in town 🙂
If you feel like trekking it to Mossman, the Junction Cafe definitely has the best eggs benedict I have had, with their very own house smoked ocean trout.. Otherwise for Cairns, I think ReHab is on the money. 🙂

Went there the other day. It was amazing! Homemade hollindaise! Unlike some other restaurants in Cairns! I would give it another chance! 🙂

Keen investigator I am 😛 I would love to have enjoy an Eggs Benny on the house but unfortunately I like to stay impartial and unbiased towards the restaurants/cafes that I am reviewing. I will however be in in the near future to check it out on my own accord. Thank you again Tyler 🙂
Love the Botanical staff member getting called out – well played FoodVixen nothing gets past you!! I started to boycott the botanical gardens after I watched the owner absolute bollock a staff member outside in front of everyone. Unprofessional & extremely cringe worthy for everyone sitting around. I have heard various other stories since then so I haven’t gone back.
Tyler might won’t to pass on to the owner that Cairns is a very small town & everyone talks……and just remember people “it’s called the HOSPITALITY industry NOT the HOSTILE industry”

As for Botanical Gardens, they wouldn’t be the first to try and head me off. The owner from Ozmosis commented a few months ago and then I Facebooked her. Ah the wonders of Facebook 😛 I can’t believe that the owner tore shreds off a staff member in front of everyone! How unprofessional! Unfortunately the Botanical Gardens Restaurant and Cafe can only rest on their laurels for so long since shitty service and food doesn’t fly in a small place like Cairns. Lucky for them I’m sure they get plenty of tourists through to keep the wheels turning. Such a shame.
