I recently discovered the vegie breakie at Macaroon on Grafton Street. It has 2 poached eggs, avocado, tomato, spinach, mushrooms, feta cheese with a little bit of aioli on thin toast – it’s delicious!
Hmm Macaroon you say? My family (minus myself) went there 6 months ago for breakfast and said that it was terrible. Having said that it was 6 months ago. I might have to go and check it out. Avocado, feta cheese and aioli for breakfast sounds good to me!
Try The Lime Tree at Trinity Beach, You will leave very satisfied!!!!!!!!!!!

Lime Tree is amazing. I went to Caffiend on Saturday after not going for a couple of months – I think they changed their chef & we had a couple of dud meals….But they are back to the great standard they they usually do…..Brunch was amazing…go the Chilli Eggs.
Caffiend actually told me about you Ms Foodvixen…because I was on my phone pissing around with foodspotting (great app until idiots start uploading Hungry Jacks & Cadburys) & they asked if I had heard of your site….oh the smallness of Cairns. Love it!
Glad to hear that Caffiend has gone back to their good old food ways. I have been meaning to get down to there for lunch one of these days because they do have a tantalizing lunch menu with items that you just don’t find in Cairns. That is nice of them to tell you about my food blog. I have been getting quite a bit more traffic lately and I always get excited when I get a new comment. Just hit 24,000 views since I started
PS: I haven’t heard of the Foodspotting app. I know that Cairns isn’t really in the know with things like Urbanspoon and Yelp which is why I haven’t bothered linking my blog to any of them.
